Mitch Kemper

My name is Mitch Kemper. I grew up in Miami, Florida, where at the age of twelve I met Bob Toski and Bruce Fleisher. I instantly became a junior student of Toski who was recently inducted into the PGA Golf Hall of Fame. Following my completion at the University of California Santa Barbara on a golf scholarship, I became the teaching professional at Montecito Country Club in Santa Barbara, as well as teaching for Bob Toski in many of his golf schools. After playing on many golf tours around the country, I became close with Larry Rinker, Steve Pate, Mark Wiebe and the Late Great Payne Stewart, whom I caddied for on the PGA Tour from 1982-1983. I am mentioned in The Payne Stewart Story by Larry Guest with reflections by President George Bush, the book "I Remember Payne Stewart" by Michael Arkush and the book The-Journeyman-Larry-Rinker.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
At the MK Golf Academy, we work with people of every ability from beginning Golfers to Professional Golfers. We are hand & eye coordination teachers, and work with each individual to make their swing as unique as they are. We have a great passion for Junior golf, and we have great programs available at reasonable rates. We love to watch the progress of our juniors as they progress into champions. We provide private lessons along with weekly and monthly golf camps, as well as golf tournaments.  We are the coaches for the city of Glenwood Springs junior golf program every summer at Glenwood Springs Golf Club.
